“The gueast of Beamclub #16, the last one of this year, is Gabriel Lester. I knew Gabriel Lester’s name long before I got to see one of his works for real at gallerie Fons Welters. In the huge, tent-like space hung only one very big screen. I saw a few minutes of clouds, very much befitting my rather dark clouded humour that day. After that: the interior of a plain with passengers smoking their last sigarettes or sigars slowly but steadfastly creating an interior cloudy sky.
