David Grubbs was previously in the bands Squirrel Bait, (whose other members formed Slint and Bastro) and Gastr del Sol, but is now releasing solo work in the Blue Chopsticks label. Guido Möbius is a solo artists whose large arsenal of instruments is mainly instrumental (harp, banjo, glockenspiel) but his solo manipulation manages to create an abstract soundfront nonetheless.
David Grubbs' fans include the hipster nest the Empty Bottle in Chicago, and he collaborates with Tortoise's John McEntire, Jeb Bishop and Richard Buckner.
Guido Möbius is originally from Cologne.
