What we will do
Aquaponics is an eco-friendly system in which fish feed the plants and the plants clean the water for the fish. We start the day with an introduction to aquaponics and a crash course in biology. Next, guided by our trainers, you will learn how to build a vertical aquaponics farm from scratch. By the end of the day you will know exactly how to build your own system at home, and how the eco-system of the fish tank and grow beds works.

During the Dag van Duurzaamheid (Sustainability Day) on October 10, Green Metropole is organizing the Festival of Cools. This day also marks the opening of Green Metropole's new building, New Energy Docks. We'll be putting on an aquaponics workshop at this location from 10.00 till 18.00 hours. (Click here for directions.) Tickets are €120,- ex VAT. Freelancers, students, employees of cultural institutions and/or institutions with an ANBI-status receive a 30% discount. Reduced tickets are €84,03 ex VAT.
