'Superposition' explores the way we understand the reality of nature on an atomic scale and is inspired by the mathematical notions of quantum mechanics. For the first time in Ikeda's oeuvre, performers will appear on stage to create a unique performance piece where sound, visuals, physical phenomena, mathematical concepts, human behavior and randomness are constantly orchestrated and re-orchestrated.
When the show was premièred in Paris last November, Marie Lechner, journalist at Libération, wrote that the show was a "symphony from the digital era", a "blend of sound performance and live arts", an "all-round experience involving both body and soul, and leaving the audience on the verge of catalepsy".
