Jules washing clay pebbles

Before putting them in the grow bed, clay pebbles require preparation. They should be cleaned to remove dirt, dust and other contamination.

During the last meeting we had to cut the grow beds and fix their height. A good grow bed has to be 33 cm high, 3 cm more than water level.

During the last meeting we cleaned the fish tank from sandy residues left by clay pebbles, to give our goldfish a neat and comfortable habitat.

The auto-siphon allow the grow bed to fill to the required level before triggering a siphon effect which drains the water from the bed.

During the last meeting we analyzed the water of the small system, measuring the level of pH, GH, NO2 and NO3

To help plants grow we installed a led light on the grow bed.
