Doris Berger

Doris Berger is an art historian, curator, critic and works as an editor for BHA at the Getty Research Institute (LA). Previously the director of Kunstverein Wolfsburg, she has since taught at Braunschweig University of Art and University of the Arts, Berlin. Berger’s Ph.D. is an examination of artist biopics such as Basquiat (1996) and Pollock (2000) and will be published in 2009. In her talk Berger will address the most recurrent mechanisms in artist biopics.
