is a boutique fashion academy. Within the academy, students can obtain their university awarded fashion bachelor's degree with honors programs. Their educational vision focuses on students who do not feel at home in a regular 'mass' education setting. Thus, the academy has consciously chosen to be the hub of small-scale, personal, student-centered learning in a supportive environment to better foster each student's individual needs and talents.
On the 2nd of September 2021, Mediamatic has collaborated with The Amsterdam Fashion Academy to create 30 costume designs of various species to advocate and celebrate biodiversity for the Biodiversity Carnaval during Dutch Design Week 2021.
