Documenting Workshops

Photography

If you are documenting a workshop, you can follow these guidelines. 

First of all, ask the participants if they are okay with being photographed.

If they are okay with being photographed, you will give them a consent form to sign.

You can find these contact forms in the left box of the two camera boxes in the Office. If not, print new ones. 

If they are not okay with being photographed, you give them a no photography sticker to wear.

List of type of photos we're looking for:

• Group photos.
• Over the shoulder.
• Contact between people.
• Participants having fun.
• Details.
• Participant being focussed on what they're making.

Tips:

• Try to have the eyes of at least one person visible.

Documenting end results

At the end of the workshop, make sure to photograph the end results.

Here are some examples how to document the end results:

• Make a photo of participant holding their creation.
• Make a photo of participant wearing their creation.
• If a group of participants worked on one creation together, make a group photo of participants with their creations.

Finished photographing? If you used the Mediamatic camera, please put it in the charger so the next user has a full battery! :)
