Over the years he has contributed reviews and articles for various magazines and newspapers such as the NRC Handelsblad and Vrij Nederland. Adding to his repertoire, he has participated as a host and guest across several TV programs, most recently (in 2022), he was a member of the jury on Celebrity Masterchef. Throughout his career, he touched upon different aspects of food and taste from exploring the background of the five basic tastes: sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami to the influence of terroir and soil on the taste of Dutch food.
