I'm a Brazilian-born designer and researcher
based in Amsterdam since 1995.
I have a background in fine arts and broadcast media (MTV Brasil, Channel V Hong Kong, VPRO, NPS). I obtained my MA degree at the Sandberg Institute in 1999 and since then moved increasingly toward a cross-media practice in which design serves as a tool for social participation and investigation.
Recent commissioned work ranges from broadcast graphics (BNN/Al Jazeera, AT5), public health campaigns (Schorer/GGD) to postage stamps (TPG Post).
I am interested in the cultural impact of digital media, particularly issues involving morality and health.
