Video artist. Paul Dougherty started as an editor in 1977 at a NYC broadcast video facility. Dougherty won an Emmy for the first season of Pee-wee’s Playhouse. His punk roots include being a founding member of Metropolis Video, a collective of video makers that were among the first to shoot at CBGB’s. In 1975 the group shot Blondie and the Talking Heads multi-camera.
