The Generali Foundation is situated in Vienna, and has been collecting contemporary art since the late eighties. As opposed to many other corporate collections, the Generali foundation has focused on important movements in 60s and 70s art. That way, the Generali foundation has managed to procure many crucial pieces in the development of contemporary art. The Generali foundation has 1700 works by 160 different artists in possesion.
