Datavisualisation, the specialism that is focused on visualising and structuring data, has acquired a prominent place within graphic design. It connects graphic design, computer science and science at large, and helps to frame and portray our explosive world of information.

How do designers construct complex data? Where and how can the user find the information?

The professional designer seeks a spectator's position to practice its leading role in this process. The fact that film, photography, print, and production development are activities that are also done by the non-educated designer or artist, has consequences for the professional designer.

The Graphic Design Museum searches for answers to the following questions, during the INFODECODATA symposium.

  • Will the Graphic Designer become a Software Developer?
  • Is Design the new Science?
  • What are the concepts of the world's leading Designers?
