Game Set and Match II

a conference on computer games, advanced geometries and digital technologies

29 Mar 2006
1 Apr 2006
  • 10:00 -18:00
  • TU Delft
  • Julianalaan 134, Delft

Speakers include John Frazer, Kate Salen (Parson's), Peter Weibel (ZKM) and Mark Goulthorpe (MIT/dECOi).

Game set and match was actually made by the TU Delft's architecture faculty to learn more about collaborations between digital enabled architectural practices and other areas (game design, mob design).

Themes include Play; where the possibilities for architectural design in game engines are explored, Advanced geometries which examines the toolbag of the computationally and mathematically enabled designer and Open source, to see what else there is out there besides Maya.

Part of the conference is dedicated to advanced geometries, to meet the tectonic demands for non standard geometric solutions to buildings. Computational and mathematical skills are becoming increasingly important, and the possibilities and available technologies will be addressed during the conference.

Located at the TU Delft's architectural department.
