In this seminar, professor of musicology Jörg Jewanski (University Münster, Germany) talks about color, light, music and sound in Fischinger’s work. Jewanski is specialized in the relationship between music and visual arts.
Color expert Anne van der Zwaag, together with Mark Paul Meyer, senior conservator EYE and Fischinger expert, are interviewed about color and how it affects us, the audience and Fischinger’s work. As guest curator at the Fotomuseum in Rotterdam, since 2011 Van der Zwaag has set up the Black & White program on design, visual art and film. She also organized a symposium on color at the Tropenmuseum.
Joost Rekveld, Fischinger expert, filmmaker, light artist and teacher (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague) is curator of the film program at this seminar, which shows the work of filmmakers inspired by Fischinger.
