Printing Living Furniture and Wearing Dead Mirco-Organisms
Two designers about their bio-material research and a mushroom dinner
Interior architect Simone Vermaning makes really strong textiles from mycelium, that are also good for your skin. She aims to combine glamour with health benefits, and in the process help improve the textile industry. In collaboration with the Mushroom Research Group of Wageningen University, Eric Klarenbeek explored various 3D-printing techniques using living organisms such as mycelium. He will present his most recent project, Mycelium Chair. Join us! More information and RSVP on our website.
