Under Pressure
PX I – Signaling blood pressure
Signaling blood pressure
This prosthetic is worn on the temple and is influenced by blood pressure. The higher the blood pressure, the higher the pressure on the wearer's veins, which is detected by the sensor. The prosthetic responds and reacts within three phases and will expand or shrink, depending on the wearer's blood pressure within these phases. The benefit of placement on the temple is twofold; it is an actual 'pressure point' where blood pressure can be detected, while at the same time gently camouflaging crow's feet. The function is inspired by the movements of the aorta and the structure is an extended focus on the inner vein.
