I saw a lot of the world but I fell for Africa, when I first visited Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. A fire for Africa was lighted in my heart and has never died since. I ended up in travel journalism and have so far written tourist guidebooks on ten different African countries besides two travel novels on the continent.
In the past few years I have visited a lot of African countries, including South-Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. I love the traveling in southern and eastern Africa but I have fallen in love with the Francophone countries in West-Africa, like Senegal, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo and Benin. All beautiful but Mali is definitely the pearl in the African crown.
Next to travel and Africa, I am into communication. I work as a free lance journalist and communication consultant. I write journalistic productions, develop websites, magazines and advise companies and organizations on communication strategy.
All this comes together in Africa Interactive, a company of which I am one of the co-founders. Africa Interactive is a media company building a network of hundreds of African reporters, see www.africa-interactive.net.
I am the intiator of Africa Business Communities, a series of networks for people doing business in Africa, see: www.africabusinesscommunities.com.
