Gabrielle Marks

Have been working as an independent graphic designer with strong crossovers into digital media since 1999. Am currently rethinking the nature of my practice. I've become more interested in a research-based approach towards social and cultural phenomena in general, and the Chinese urban condition specifically. (see www.remarksfromafar.com). I'm interested in applying my design skills and knowledge of new and emerging technologies to this kind of context. Ultimately I would hope that I can embark on collaborative projects whereby I can contribute both as researcher and designer.
