Gomez-Pena’s performance work focuses on us-Mexico relations and border issues and has been presented in galleries in South America, the us and Europe, as well as being featured in films by Issac Artenstein and Louis Malle. Border Brujo was awarded the Prix du la Parole at the International Theatre Festival of the Americas (Montreal, 1989) and the Bessie (New York, 1989). He is currently editing an anthology of critical writing on border culture and making a new performance trilogy.
