World in a Shell

By artist Hans Kalliwoda at the Museumpark in Rotterdam, 2010. The World in a Shell is an intervention project by artist Hans Kalliwoda. In this work he investigates temporary mobile space solutions while creating clear images of his personal utopia. The work aims to trigger rethinking of everyday life and hints for solutions on autonomy and decentralization. His messages relate to issues such as migration, ecotourism and human sustainability. Technology is not the aim but the tool with which to facilitate exchange: the World in a Shell acts as intercultural swap shop and as a vehicle for intellectual cross-pollination on its 5-year journey to 11 Unesco World Heritage Sites. Within the framework of a symbiotic adventure Kalliwoda brings romanticism and utopia into the reality of the here and now. More info on world in a shell.
