Wound healing is a complex process where several body interactions need to function together. Herbs and specific parts of plants have been used to support these natural wound-healing forces in our body as early as 2700 BC, and still today, they are seen as an effective way to shorten the healing process of wounds all over the world. Several plants have been scientifically proven to improve tissue regeneration, increase wound contraction and prevent infections. It is also believed that plants can inhibit the growth 0f microorganisms that might contribute to the healing process.
