Open Green Day 2022

This year, Mediamatic is participating in the Open Green Day, a day on which dozens of green initiatives in Amsterdam and Almere open their doors.

Wander around our biotoop or join the Hortus & Aquaponics Tour along the wide variety of plants on the Dijksgracht, from healing to toxic and from dark green to purple, and discover in the Aquaponics Greenhouse how food can be produced sustainably in the city.

Hortus & Aquaponics Tour

A tour of over 200 different plants on the Dijksgracht and our Aquaponics Greenhouse! The tours start at 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30 and 16.30. There are ten places per tour, reserve your (free) tickets here.

Casting Doubt

At the bar you can buy a Casting Doubt seed card (€5), to answer thirty questions about life and art by planting seeds in large flower boxes. This way, your answers will grow into a lush infographic, and you will get to know what type of artist you would have been.

Casting Doubt is an initiative by Jasmin Moeller and Masha Ru in collaboration with Mediamatic.

Terrace

Our lovely terrace on the waterside is open: settle down for a cup of coffee or drink and a vegetable snack. The terrace is open from 12.00, the kitchen from 13.00.
