Remko Andeweg works as a city botanist at Bureau Stadsnatuur, part of the Natural History Museum Rotterdam. He specialized in the flora of the urban-industrial environment, vegetation management, and dealing with invasive exotic plants. In his last role, he is responsible for, among other things, monitoring the control of Japanese knotweed in the Rotterdam harbor.
