This event is primarily for autistic/ADD students and artists, however anyone who is interested to learn is also very welcome to attend. Please note that the formal presentations will be in English, whilst table discussions will be in both English and Dutch.
On May 8th, we had a wonderful kick-off meeting on studying art with ASD/ADD, which included presentations from HKU's Iets Eten student group and several educators. Thanks to everyone who joined us! Here is a blog post of our last event.
For our upcoming event, the Hague-based German artist Jenny Konrad will talk about the agenda tools they have created to manage their time, energy and stimulation. Jenny graduated from the Master Non Linear Narrative program at Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), and their current research revolves around stimming. Their independent work ranges from installations to performance interventions to websites.
Jenny's presentation will be followed by roundtable discussions about agenda-making, neurodiversity and time management. How do you manage your own agendas (school schedules, work, life)? How do you keep track of your energy levels during busy weeks? Let's share a meal, learn from each other and share the tips and tricks we find along the way.
If you are interested in attending the event, please get your tickets at the following link. Tickets will include a vegan meal and a drink. We offer a great discount price for student participants.
We hope to see you on June 5th. If you have any questions, please feel free to email a.artist@mediamatic.nl.
The event will be hosted by the A/artist program team, a project at Mediamatic which platforms artists and designers who identify as/with the ASD or ADD spectrums. The program started in 2021, focusing on hosting regular roundtable sessions and publishing articles generated through these discussions.
