The department of Water Management of the TU Delft in cooperation with UNESCO-IHE and several other Dutch and Mozambican partners are since the beginning of February 2014 working on a five-year water reuse project in the city of Maputo, Mozambique. This project is part of the Integrated Project “Urbanising Deltas Cities of the World” funded by NWO.
The project aims at understanding social and technical aspects of centralized and de-centralized water reclamation systems at two dimensions: centralized reuse at the wastewater treatment plant of Maputo, and de-centralized in peri-urban areas.
