Time as the “most central navigation system of our society and as the measuring instrument that creates the concept of ‘future’. That, according to Joes Koppers and Susann Lekås, is time.

Together they created the installation Optionaltime for the exhibition Nonlinear Editing. This installation confronts the visitor with various experiences of time through a short film of about two minutes. Computer and film techniques have the visitor himself play an important role in this film. Thus, the concept of time and our experience of time are turned completely upside down in Optionaltime by means of digital techniques.

Over the years, both artists have involved themselves in varying ways with digital media from within their own field of expertise. Joes Koppers has done so as a graphic designer and web designer. As a visual artist, Susann Lekås has made a few short films. Thereby, making time tangible is viewed by both of them as a possibility to experience the future.
