Over the last two years Strawberry Earth has shown that living an eco friendly lifestyle is both fun and important. With successful events like Strawberry Earth Hotel Crash and The Dutch Environmental Film Festival, Strawberry Earth is influencing young, urban creatives into living eco friendlier.
London, Berlin and Paris have taken the lead in giving attention to sustainable fashion with fairs like Estethica and The Key To. Strawberry Earth decided it was time to put Amsterdam on the eco-fashion and beauty map. The fashion and beauty industry is unnecessarily polluting - SEW will show why the industry's future should be eco friendly and fair.
A peek at the Strawberry Earth Wonderland programme:
– more than 20 of Europe's leading eco and fair fashion designers and brands
– prominent stylists from our partner, AVEDA, will showcase the latest hair and makeup styles during two fashion shows featuring, amongst others, Studio JUX en Charlie + Mary
– a 'Fashion Blogger Camp' about fashion blogging trends with leading bloggers present for tips
– various fashion workshops about 'non-toxic' cosmetics and eco–fashion with Annouk Post from Hiphonest and the Schone Kleren Campagne
– AVEDA hand and feet rituals sessions
– Live music from hot new Swedish band The Amplifetes (!), a "happy three-part marriage between garage pop, electro and punk..."
During SEW Strawberry Earth, together with Awearness, will also organise an eco fashion talkshow "Meet The Experts" for people interested in becoming fashion designers and those looking to grow their businesses. Visitors will find out from our selected experts everything from, how to design, produce and market their products in a sustainable and effective way!
