Srishti School of Art & Design & Technology is organizing a three-day
symposium-cum-conference on ³IT+T:Rethinking Textiles & Technology in Design².
The aim of this event is to explore the dynamic space
that can be created through the merging of the rich
textile traditions from India and the cutting edge IT
industry.
The symposium will introduce artists, designers,
technologists and art and design students to the field of
interactive textiles, electronic textiles and wearable
computing that is changing the aesthetics and functions
of textiles. National and international designers and
researchers working in this field are being invited to
present their work and conduct the workshops for the
participants.
The symposium will run from the 12th December 2006 to
the 14th December 2006 at the Srishti School of Art,
Design and Technology, Bangalore, India.
