In an era of Facebook/Twitter-inflamed revolutions, biotechnology ethics wars, and youtube-generated museum exhibitions, this year's festival seeks to examine the question "Where – and what – is New Media Art today?" New Media art traditionally held a role at the
intersections of art, science, technology, ansd social realms, yet artists who do not identify as New Media artists now make free use of the same tools as video game programmers, robotics engineers, and DJs. Pixilerations v.8 seeks work that broadly explores these identity
questions of art/not art, new/old.
Artists, musicians, performers, film/video makers, and new media practitioners are invited to submit work here.
