Mediamatic Review
Fifty % of the users trying the Happee stated they were comfortable urinating elsewhere if a toilet was unavailable. The other 50% were shy pee-ers and required a toilet and a private place to urinate. Our users were indifferent to the price of one Happee being 2.74. Fifty% said it was priced correctly while the other 50% thought it was too expensive for what it offered. This device was tried while wearing leggings, jeans, dresses and stockings. All, except for the dress, causing difficulties while using the urinal. The Happee was tested within the user’s homes or an icky toilet encounter.
The Happee scored a 3.5 out of 5 when it came to ease of use. The device consists of 2 pieces, the collector and the cardboard funnel which need to be connected before use. This should be done before the need to urinate so you are not fumbling with the attachment while needing to pee. In regards to sanitation, the device scored a 4 out of 5. Unfortunately, the cardboard funnel was too flimsy and the pee soaked through. It could not be used again and had to be thrown away after use.
The Happee was easy to carry in a bag before use, no one found it sanitar enough to store after use. After this review, 50% of the users preferred disposable FUDs and 50% were still uncertain what they preferred, which led to the question: would you use this device again? 50% said maybe, the other 50% said no, there were better options. Similar to the TravelJohn, the testers felt that they could not use this device discreetly, therefore they could just squat behind a car, building, etc. The device was recommended by 25% of the testers. It could come in handy on a road trip. Comparable to the TravelJohn, 50% of women said they used toilet paper because there was drippage, 50% said they used toilet paper because of the normal ritual.
Overall, the Happee was rated a 3.5 out of 5.
The Happee is meant for both men and women, therefore it may have different results when reviewed by men.
