Floor Adams studied animation in Arnhem and Ghent. Previously, she graduated as art therapist and worked in services for the disabled and in psychiatry, which sparked her love for social and community issues and also affected her animation work substantively.
She founded Floor Adams Animation/Illustration in 2007 and has since then worked with VARA/NPS, KRO/RKK, Volkskrant, the Government, MTV Networks, Nuon, and various documentary makers. Her own work has been exhibited in several museums, galleries, exhibition spaces and (animated) film festivals.
Besides her own work, Floor Adams also teaches animation courses, workshops and classes at various schools, cultural institutions and at her studio. For example, she has been teaching animation classes at the UNIT Academy, an arts program that focuses specifically on young people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
