Butterfly Works and SICA

Butterfly Works is a do-tank which combines design with finding sustainable answers to international social issues. We believe in a multi-disciplinary approach combining ethics and aesthetics. This is visible in our projects such as Nairobits, a digital design school for young people from the slums of Nairobi, a cross cultural self authored children's book series, e-learning programs developed for mini-laptops on HIV/aids prevention. With each project a positive chain of events is started, enlarging its impact. This has led to international awards and recognition of our projects in Kenya, Uganda, the Netherlands, Nigeria and South Africa.
