The Book includes research practices by 13 artists, who publish in a hypertext especially developed developed by Mediamatic Lab following the basic rules of the (visual) essay.
The artistic research is fundamental to the unique interdisciplinary research programme Participatory Systems Initiative at TU Delft.
Ann Demeester, director of de Appel arts centre, will interview artists about their contributions and experiences and focus on how the research has impact on their work. Professor Kitty Zijlmans, Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society, will position the artists' work in the context of the current international research practice.
