SITUATIES / Laboratorium Flevoland

13 Mar 2004
5 Tem 2004

This project consisted of presentations and activities in and around the Museum. Artworks reflecting on, or contributing to, the identity of Flevoland, the Netherlands’ youngest province, featured prominently.

Borrowed Sceneries by Florian Göttke. With each of his diverse installations, Göttke creates new landscape forms and poses questions as to the definition of the term ‘landscape’.
In contact met Nagele (In touch with Nagele) (1999 - 2005), photos by Witho Worms.

Every day, for the duration of the project, at the top of each hour Sjaak Langenberg’s and Theo van den Aker’s film De uitbreiding van polder Mastenbroek (The extension of Mastenbroek polder) (2004) was shown. This film is a statement on the current urban-rural debate.
Every Sunday saw the start of a new excursion to Flevoland’s five special landscape artworks. During the exhibition, four ONGOING SERIES were organised.

In the course of the project, Mega Farm by Rob Voerman and Stadsboerderij Sugoroku (Sugoroku City Farm) by Chicaco Watanabe were added to the exhibition.
