Previously on view in the Amsterdam Biennale:
Beirut Pavilion
The Beirut Pavilion of Rani al Rajji is an inpenetrable cube with peepholes on all sides. Look in and you will see glimpses of every day life in Beirut. The pavilion plays with Western expectations of Lebanon and demonstrates that you won't get to know the real Beirut until you go inside.
The pavilion opened on October 24 and can be visited until January 3, 2010 at the Amsterdam Biennale at Mediamatic. Maya Tehini of Studio Beirut was present at the opening.
