Livingschool Asterdorp
Livingschool Asterdorp was an entire residential area shielded by a brick wall. It was a gated community that was not used to keep outsiders out, but more to keep a level of control over the people living within it's walls. In 1932 they made a second entrance and with this development they started naming streets and numbering houses. In 1955 all of Asterdorp was demolished except for the gate that still survives in Noord.
