EXHIBITION At Gallery Schijnheilig, the festival will start with the opening of our exhibition 'CREATIVE CITIES, ARTISTIC TOWNS AND FANTASTIC VILLAGES' on 27 October, 19.00hrs, with DJ Charles Dot playing 50 R&B, hard bop and funky rock. There will be drinks and bites. The exhibition will be open every day from 14.00hrs to 20.00hrs (longer during festival days) and will stay open until 3 November. More on exhibition here.
TALKS We will organise a roundtable about 'Art and it's European Contexts', involving all our visiting artists and cultural workers from Prishtina, Skopje and Sarajevo. And we will debate on art economy in 'Art & the New Spirit of Capitalism'. Be there and meet some very insightful people! Talks agenda here.
FILM From 27 until 30 October, Schijnheilig will be the setting of our film program, screening from 20.00hrs. During these days we will show 6 thematically clustered shorts programs, combining fiction, documentary, animations and experimental film from all involved regions, including great Dutch material and of course a lot of films from the Balkan region. We will screen 3 longer films: 'CASH & MARRY, SCUM, and 4 ELEMENTS, the last with a live soundtrack by Vincent Koreman.Watch teasers below. Complete film programme here.
PARTY Of course every festival day will feature live music and DJ's, but be sure not to miss ZOMBIEGRAD, a Balkan Halloween Celebration, with Kako Da Ne Collective, and a great new Balkan fusion act, SUPERCITY! This party will be held at OT301, Overtoom 301 (entrance 8 Euro) - dress up as your creepiest interpretation of Balkan!
Except for the ZOMBIEGRAD party, the complete festival program will be for free! We would appreciate a donation fee, which will be invested in the festivals in the Balkan region.
