Many people tend to forget that they unquestioningly imagine God as a person. One who reigns over the entire universe.
To Spinoza there’s only one reality, in which all matter and God coincide. They are two aspects of the same reality.
When studying nature and humanity, one slowly starts to become familiar with God. Moreover, it's counterproductive and confusing to think of God as a person. But determining that God is not human, that is confusing and alarming as well. People need love, comfort and understanding from God.
