Magic mushrooms
You can make the substrate for growing magic mushrooms at home with simple and affordable materials and equipment. In this workshop you'll learn how to infect your rice-flour based substrate mixture with the spores of the Psilocybe mushroom. At the end of the evening you'll take home a jar with the mixture. After approximately 2 to 4 weeks, the magic mushrooms will appear. After the workshop the trainer will give you a hand-out with all the information you need.
Isn't that illegal?
Nope! During (the very public) opening night you will learn how to prepare the rice flour based substrate, and inject it with the spores of magic mushrooms. It is the fruit body (the edible part of the mushroom) that's illegal; the spores aren't. The fruit bodies won't appear until weeks later, in the privacy of your own home.
More information
Workshop tickets are € 25, including the use of all the materials. Keep in mind: you'll probably be able to harvest mushrooms 2 or 3 times from this single mixture. The workshop duration is 1.5 hours, and starts at 20:00 and 22.00 hours. This workshop takes place in a cleanroom, which means you have to wear protective clothing (that we supply for you).
