Paul D’Alessandro, leads Diamond Consulting’s Experience Design Practice. He has an extensive background in high-tech product and telecommunications Experience Design (xD). Paul’s approach to xD is based on the creation of unique customer experiences that blend the physical place (home, workplace, retail, etc.) with virtual environments (online communities, mobility solutions, word-of-mouth networks). By combining a deep understanding of customer analytics, xD, market assessment/segmentation, and branding/positioning/messaging, he brings to his clients a fresh perspective on the development of technology-dependent strategy and new product/service design.

Paul’s results-driven approach to strategic growth through innovation, interactive marketing, and xD has been applied from product conception and launch through to market-share leadership within large-scale programs at Fortune 100 organizations, startups, and the emerging markets of Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. He is an expert in emerging market entry strategy and execution, which often includes negotiating public/private partnerships. Paul specializes in aligning senior executives’ goals with board objectives, and he leads complex initiatives that are contingent on technology—and often require significant organizational change. These undertakings frequently involve an extension or refresh of traditional products, services, or the employment of nontraditional marketing techniques through the innovative use of interactive technology.

A regular speaker within academic and industry circles, Paul has been published on the topics of word-of-mouth marketing, technology-enabled advertising, and new product innovation. He has also served the consumer and industrial products, healthcare, business-to-consumer services, and retail industries.
