The protests in Turkey rose with the emotion of a city. For the past months, Selim Doğru has been practicing with over 100 volunteers to produce this once in a lifetime performance - a musical piece bringing the experience of Gezi to Amsterdam city. Musicians of all kinds will begin playing Selim's original score with protest songs incorporated at various points within the city (Muntplein, Singel, Central Station, Rozengracht, Nes, Oudehoogstraat etc.). Eventually everyone will gather at Dam Square to finish the piece together. You can watch the event at Dam from 12pm starting with Selim's piano solo. The many music makers involved will arrive one by one at the square and the performers will complete the extravaganza together around 2pm.
