Suzanne Wallinga @ Mediamatic - It's Happening Now! -

Suzanne Wallinga is an independent curator and lecturer based in Amsterdam with a background in Industrial Design
Engineering (TU Delft) and Cultural Studies (University of Amsterdam). She is currently working as co-founding director of A Tale of a Tub, a non-profit project space for contemporary art in Rotterdam. 

Suzanne's work is centered around a research-led curational practice. By organizing exhibitions, she is constantly aiming to reflect upon the modalities of artistic production within the realm of the contemporary, with a strong emphasis on digital culture, continental philosophy and knowledge development. Suzanne has curated exhibitions and programs for the Frans Hals Museum | De Hallen Haarlem (Haarlem), De Ateliers (Amsterdam), Club Transmediale (Berlin), TAG (The Hague), the Master of Film program at the Netherlands Film Academy, Art Rotterdam, and Lost & Found, among others. From 2010 – 2012 she worked as associate curator and artistic director of TAG, a platform for audiovisual art in The Hague. Since 2015 Suzanne is the curator of Art Rotterdam | Intersections, a platform for performance and installation art initiated by Art Rotterdam taking place during the fair. Suzanne is a visiting lecturer and tutor at several Dutch academies, universities and postgraduate programs, including University of Amsterdam, Gerrit Rietveld Academy, MFA | St. Joost, De Ateliers and the Master of Film program at the Netherlands Film Academy.
