Current theoretical research: interfaces for storytelling: how should narratology accomodate the position of the user and the materiality of the interface.
Main art project (intermittently since 2001): Interface Portrait - expressive and communicative touch-interaction with a simulated storyteller's portrait serves as an intimate interface to the storyteller's mind, which is built as an autobiographical repository of potential story materials. Emergent stories are an indirect result of the interactor's behaviour which affects the simulated storyteller's emotional state, and hence the subjective meaning that story materials take on.
