Later he became a freelance contributing with many news agencies and local magazines and newspapers. In 2001 he was a member of the Kotamama Expedition, a three-month trip from the Andes to the Amazon by boat. He also worked as personal photographer of President Carlos Mesa from 2004 to 2005.
Crooker has participated in many solo and collective exhibits at the domestic and international level, including, “Amazons, portraits and landscapes” in the National Museum of Art in La Paz and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santa Cruz in 2001. Crooker participated in the two Fotoencuentro, International Photo Festival in La Paz, with his exhibits “Intimate Portraits, Passionate Creators” and “Guerreros” both at the Museum of Photography Nuñez de Arco. He also exhibited in two versions of the FOTOAMERICA International photo festival in Santiago, Chile, 2006 and 2008.
Crooker also published two books, in 2004 “Desiertos Blancos, Lagunas de Colores” with text by Bolivian President Carlos Mesa, and in 2008 “Testomonio” a tribute to the Chaco War Veterans, he also contributed in four more books and many national and international magazines. Patricio does a lot of personal documentary work. He also lectures and teaches photojournalism workshops in Bolivia. He lives and works in La Paz, Bolivia, but because of his photography travels around the world.
