Teletheory should be required reading for anyone who thinks they want to write about video poetics and the network. While it is from 1989 and is quite specific about video in the age of the camcorder and tape the arguments and general milieu of thought are compelling for a videographic practice in the age of the network, laptop video editing and video cameras embedded in mobile devices. It's a difficult read, but that's one of the things that makes it worthwhile.
