Besides his work at Taste of Sake, Simon is also a chairman of the International Wine Challenge which is the biggest en most famous blind tasting of sake. He won the Sake Contribution Award for his great passion and dedication.
When Simon worked as a sommelier in a Japanese Michelin star-restaurant he came in touch with real Japanese sake and fell in love. Ever since 1998 he wants to make the world familiar with the sophisticated world of sake, which has a lot in common with the wine world.
