So, I should give you a picture of myself. Hmmm. Let’s see. I used to read a lot since very little, but not so much (not as much as I’d like anyway) since I’m busy as hell – that is, more or less, since I climbed on the digital age express to nowhere. I studied Philosophy and enjoyed it a lot. I was a craftsman for more than ten years, working with hand made paper and such stuff. I never officially learned programming or any of the things I do everyday now, it just came through practice and curiosity, little by little.
The thing is, now I spend most of my day in front of my loyal laptop, working as freelance developer & interface designer for the most interesting clients I manage to find, and going about my own experiments and ideas when I can get to that.
This site intends to be a hub for several kinds of traces left behind by my so-called ‘artistic’ practice, plus related pursuits. I’m not sure what all this ‘new media art’ thing is all about, but for me is a convenient playground where I can mash up all sorts of interests with relative freedom.
I have a theory about the unity of myself. I’ll tell you if you don’t mind. I believe that, through all this schizophrenia of things I’ve loved and though and worked with in my life, there is a common thread that stitches all together (that’s a fairly common illusion, isn’t it?). That mysterious vanishing point is just beyond the line of sight, I’m afraid, but has something to do with rule-based systems, autonomous worlds, pocket universes, something like that – mostly useless games that can be watched in fascination while they fatally deploy their own internal logic.
