In "No Man's Land?" Palestinian artists portray the current condition of their society. Aspirations of Palestinian nationhood have been undermined by a persistent and insidious occupation, which heavily influences daily life. The international community, meanwhile, by its words and deeds supports the notion of a victimized and helpless Palestinian people corrupted by the presence in their midst of dangerous fundamentalists.
The artists, architects and social scientists who participate in this exhibition rebel against this enforced passivity, claiming back their own voice and their identity as global citizens from Palestine.
On the opening of the exhibition on 5 september, at 18hrs artist Reada Saadeh will give a performance, Femke Halsema, chairwoman of the Groenlinks parliamentary party will speek.
