After seven editions, the Biennale of Photography in Bamako (Recontras africaines de la Photographie) is now fully consolidated, not only as the most important manifestation of photographic creation in the African continent, but as an artistic and cultural event of prime importance at international level . This proposal presents Africa House in a wide selection of the latest edition of the Biennale, with the desire to offer a vision of the spirit Recontras, as an observatory platform and social reality much more diverse and creative, rich and complex than the simplified cliches that usually feed our imagination about the world of Africa. The aim of this House shows Africa is to a special set of video and photographic works that combine beauty and truth with a frequency unusual and in many cases with a poignant intensity.
Tras siete ediciones, la Bienal de Fotografía de Bamako (Recontres africaines de la photographie) está ya plenamente consolidada no sólo como la manifestación más importante de la creación fotográfica en el continente africano, sino como una cita artística y cultural de primera magnitud a escala internacional.
